| Sakakawea Medical Center Laboratory is your full service laboratory located at the hospital to serve the community needs with quality reporting. We strive to offer a wide range of testing for in-patient, out-patient and emergency room visits that will assist your provider with your health care needs. The laboratory is staffed with an experienced phlebotomist, 3 licensed Medical Technologists and 2 licensed Medical Laboratory Technicians. Their goal is to provide a positive experience during your visit to the laboratory, as well as quality reporting in a timely manner. They are proud to be able to have the results of your tests on the same day that you have lab work drawn at our facility. Tests that are not done at SMC Laboratory are sent to our reference laboratory in Bismarck, ND. We are capable of drawing all of your testing from referral providers, not only from our clinics, but from any licensed provider. Our requirement is that you bring in or have sent to us, a written, signed order from your provider. We will draw your labs, run the testing and call , fax or mail the reports to your provider. Most of these reports will reach your provider the same day or within 24 hours. We are a certified third party urine drug screen collectible site for both DOT and NON-DOT collections. The SMC Laboratory is staffed routine hours 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Convenience Clinic hours are 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday. The lab staff remains "on call" for coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to assist you in all your needs. |
