With a fleet of four ambulances, two in Hazen and two in Beulah, Mercer County Ambulance serves an area of more than 1000 square miles, with an on-call crew in each community 24 hours a day.

Mercer County Ambulance has a total of 5 employees and 40 active volunteers, a combination of paramedics, EMT-Intermediates, EMT-Basics, First Responders, and CPR drivers. Together, these EMS providers cover more than 35,000 hours of call time and approximately 600 ambulance runs each year.

Mercer County Ambulance and Sakakawea Medical Center work cooperatively to best utilize each entity's services and provide quality care and comfort to patients. Whether working as a team in the direct care of patients or collaborating on committees, SMC and MCA are partners in the healthcare of Mercer County and the surrounding area.
